Situated 12 miles northwest of Jackson in Wyoming, Teton Village is one of America's most scenic year-round recreation areas. Colter Bay Indian Arts Museum displays Native American artifacts and runs video presentations about the park. Menor's Ferry is a reconstruction of an 1890s Snake River ferry. The log cabin chapels of the Transfiguration (Episcopalian) and the Sacred Heart (Catholic), located at Moose Junction and Jackson Lake Junction respectively are also worth a visit. The authentic barns and cabins of Mormon Row were built by some of the earliest settlers in the area. These historic buildings make for an interesting tour as well as a wonderful photo opportunity.
Spending an afternoon exploring Hidden Falls can be a fun and exhilarating experience. After hiking the two and a half miles to the falls, you can take a boat ride back. The falls and its white-water is spectacular, as it rushes towards Jenny Lake. Rock climbing is also popular near the falls. The hiking trail beyond Hidden Falls continues to Inspiration Point, offering spectacular views of Jackson Hole and Jenny Lake, before flattening out as it reaches the scenic Cascade Canyon and Lake Solitude.
Admission to Grand Teton National Park, also allows admission to Yellowstone National Park a short drive further north. Yellowstone offers the world's largest concentration of hot springs, geysers and geothermal features. It valso has populations of bears, elk and antelope.
